It's time again for the Paper Pro's Challenge; this month Sandy Diller issues the challenge "Road Trip." Another fun challenge!
I knew I wanted to do a 'scenic' card & remembered I had a fun camping set by Avery Elle that would work perfectly with Karen Burniston's Twist Panel Pop-Up. Then, I was off and running! As usual, I work on the inside of my Pop-Up cards first then decide what to put on the front. This time I used one of Karen Burniston's adorable Woodland Animals ... the squirrel.
He is holding a fussy cut mushroom from the stamp set, has glazed eyes and nose, and I used Distress Oxide ink on his tail then spritzed it with water.
Here is the card opening - looks like there is a lot going on in there, right?
Here is the card fully open. This is SUCH a popular type of Pop-Up, but before Karen Burniston created the Twist Panel Pop-Up die set you had to measure and use a template. Now you can just 'cut and assemble'. The die set was so popular, it actually sold out of it's first run - but it's back in stock again now.
I stamped little scenes on each of the panels using the one stamp set, and added greetings from the set as well. The fire in the first panel has glossy accents on it.
What's Canoe With You? Ahahahaha - love this. On this second panel the canoe was coloured in red and it has glossy accents. You will see that there is a bunch of mosquitoes on each panel as well. Around these parts, mosquitoes are part of life in the great outdoors. After stamping them their wings were all coloured in with a sparkle pen.
The third panel has a glossy sun and mushroom ...
... and this 4th panel has a glossy sun.
I also used Karen Burniston's Nature Edges for the inside of the card and there is a nice big area to write a Birthday message on.
