Dancing Bear Treat Holder and Card

Good morning friends

I went for lunch with my friend Kelly this Spring, and she gave me an ADORABLE little gift box filled with Dove chocolates. The box was made with Els' Pillow Box with Handle, which I had been debating about purchasing. But when I saw it in person? I went home and added the die to my Wish List.

I'm so happy with this die - and have used it a bunch already. Here is a little gift box I had for our middle daughter when she came to visit us in Arizona in April. I filled it with chocolates for her, since I knew how much I enjoyed the ones Kelly gave to me.

This box makes up quickly, but you have a bit more room inside than with the Bonbon box. In fact, I made up a couple for the Grandkids, and a Wagon Wheel (remember those?!!) fits in inside. The one down side is that it is slightly too small to hold a gift card. That would have made it perfect.

I added a fussy cut and stamped bear, ribbon and HUGS die cut. Last Spring (2016) I ordered the Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit and it had some yellow sequins in it. I had already decided I was NOT getting on the sequin bandwagon, but I did add a couple here and boy they add a lot to this finished project.

While I had everything out, I also made a card, which you can see below. There is something endearing about this adorable ECD bear stamp - this one was also fussy cut and popped up on a circle after colouring. I used the Zig Clean Colour Markers for the colour - so bright and cheerful! The background 'scene' was stippled using dye inks and paper stencils. The ground was done with Karen Burniston's Beach Edges and after stippling I stamped it with my favourite dot stamp. Then I added the heart word balloon and some stamped & punched banners.

The whole circle was adhered to the background panel with an Action Wobble so it bobs and wobbles around.

I decided the inside needed some interest so I took my cue from the graphic design of the patterned paper on the front and went through my 'Odds & Sods' pile for some circles.
